With more than 50 years of experience, Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) has built a solid reputation as a responsible international development agency caring for children.

Your trust is important to us. Our programs and finances are managed by professionals, and our reliability is evident in the results we achieve year after year. Integrity and transparency are essential to the way we work as an organization. Our program accountability, in combination with our fiscal integrity, is a powerful force in successfully changing children’s lives.

Internal

  1. Random and scheduled financial audits of all programs by a full time Certified Internal Auditor.

  2. Regular field monitoring visits by Country Office and Canadian program staff to our projects to ensure their effectiveness.

  3. Regular verifiable reports from the field.

  4. Financial and organizational management oversight through the CEO by a volunteer Board of Directors.

  5. Review by Canadian volunteer Audit & Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.

  6. Employment of professionally designated full time accounting staff in all key financial positions.

External

  1. Member of the Central Ontario Better Business Bureau.

  2. Canada Revenue Agency Registered Charity under the Income Tax Act.

  3. CCFC abides by the Association of Fundraising Professionals standards.

  4. Annual third party audit of CCFC by publicly licensed auditor. Country Offices and Partner programs and projects are also audited by third party independent qualified nationally licensed audit firms.

  5. Member of the Canadian Marketing Association and adheres to its fundraising policies.

  6. Signatory to fundraising principles set by Imagine Canada.

  7. Approved, year after year to receive the Seal of Accountability from the Canadian Council of Christian Charities. (CCCC).

  8. Member in good standing with the ChildFund Alliance and its code of ethics.

  9. Abide by fundraising standards set by our membership in the Ontario Council for International Cooperation.

  10. We follow  Canada Revenue Agency directives for charities.

  11. CCFC provides a charitable tax receipt for all eligible gift amounts over $10.

By adhering to the standards and regulations set out by these reputable third parties, CCFC continues to be endorsed as one of the most effective and accountable charities in Canada.
